Here, inner peace and joy are not commodities to be bought; they are gifts woven into our way of living, our culture, our traditions. I grew up not knowing poverty, for I was raised on smiles, love, and laughter — my grandfather's stories, my mother's songs, my father's open door. The peace I knew cannot be purchased. It can only be shared. This is what KWANSAA offers: a peaceful, joyous path to discovering Africa's beauty, free from the fear of the unknown.
