In everyday interactions, a friendly hello, a handshake, and a few polite words go a long way, especially with elders, shopkeepers, drivers, and hosts

Liberian cuisine is centered on rice, cassava, plantain, yam, tropical fruits and vegetables (potatoes, greens, cassava leaf, okra, cabbage), as well as fish and meat.

The traditional kind of clothing for Liberian women and men tends to be long and free flowing clothes.
